316L SS powder, vacuum-sintered into a rigid, uniform-pore structure. Bubble-point test data available on request per ASTM F316.
The all-metal 316L sintered structure contains no polymer binder or filter media, which makes it inherently cleanable and suitable for service conditions that would degrade polymer cartridges. The element tolerates steam sterilisation, hot-gas filtration up to 400 °C, and repeated chemical cleaning — reverse gas pulse, acid soak, or ultrasonic — without structural change. Typical applications include vacuum-pump inlet protection, fermentation and biogas exhaust filtration, catalyst recovery, solvent and chemical process filtration, and food or pharmaceutical gas duty.
A polished outer surface is available on customer request. The smooth finish reduces particle adhesion on the cartridge exterior, extending the interval between cleanings and making visual inspection easier — particularly useful in pharmaceutical production and hygienic process environments.
End connections are supplied in all standard types to suit the housing: DOE (double open end), 222/226 O-ring quick-connect, M20 or M30 threaded end, 1″ NPT, and fin-end configurations — all to customer specification.
Reverse gas pulse, liquid backwash, 5% HNO₃ soak, or ultrasonic cleaning. The sintered metal structure is typically regenerable over repeated cleaning cycles, subject to service conditions and cleaning method.
No binder or polymer filtration layer is used in the 316L sintered matrix, helping reduce media migration risk in pharmaceutical, food, and semiconductor-related service.
All-metal construction with no temperature limit from organic binders or seals. Suitable for steam, hot gases, high-temperature solvents, and thermal-cycling service.
Non-standard OD, length, wall thickness, and end-cap configuration to drawing — including a threaded end connection, an O-ring quick-connect for snap-in housings, or a large-bore NPT/BSP port. Typical lead time 3–5 weeks for custom items.
An optional polished outer surface — available on both 316L and titanium elements — resists particle build-up and extends the interval between cleanings, for vacuum-pump protection, exhaust, and catalyst-recovery duty.
316L compatibility depends on the medium, concentration, temperature, chloride level, oxidizing conditions, crevices and flow. Provide the actual process conditions for a material recommendation and, where needed, corrosion testing. Titanium or a higher-alloy material may be appropriate for aggressive service.
Pre-polishing filtration of pharmaceutical active ingredients and solvents. Tightly-controlled pore size limits carbon particle carry-over into product.
