Testing Methods

Testing Methods We Apply
Upon Customer Request

01

Specimen Preparation

Soak the sintered plate or disc in deionised water for 10 minutes, then clamp it into the test fixture. Pour deionised water over the top surface before starting — the pores need to be fully wet or the bubble readings won't be reliable.

Applied to: sintered plates, discs Soak medium: deionised water · Duration: 10 min Purpose: fully wet the pores before gas is introduced
02

Bubble Distribution Test

Gas is fed from below at the agreed test condition. We record the test-condition pressure drop and photograph the bubble pattern across the effective surface. Uneven bubbling, clusters, or bare patches can indicate local blockage, cracks, weld defects, non-uniform porosity, or inactive areas; it is not a pore-size-distribution measurement.

Test gas: oxygen · Test liquid: deionised water Flow rates recorded: 2 / 3 / 4 L/min Output: bubble distribution photos + pressure drop data Performed upon customer request
03

Visual Inspection

Every piece gets checked by eye before it ships — surface finish, weld seams, edges, and cleanliness. Anything that doesn't look right gets pulled before it goes out. It's a basic step, but skipping it is how small problems turn into customer complaints.

Applied to: all products Checks: surface defects, weld integrity, finish quality
04

Dimensional Measurement

Thickness, length, width, and diameter are measured with calipers and a micrometer, then checked against your drawing. Parts get wrapped in absorbent paper straight after — titanium discolours if left exposed, and we'd rather deal with it here than have you open the box to a yellowed surface.

Instruments: digital calipers, micrometers Measured: thickness, length, width / diameter Post-test: wrapped in absorbent paper to protect surface
Documentation

Documents Available
Upon Request

Specify required material certificates, dimensional inspection records and product-specific test reports before ordering. We will confirm availability and the agreed documentation scope for your order.

Material Test Report (MTR)

Chemical composition and mechanical properties of the raw material, traceable to heat/lot number.

Bubble Distribution Report

Photos and pressure drop data from the bubble distribution test — available for sintered plates and discs when requested.

Dimensional Inspection Report

Key dimensions measured and recorded — critical for drop-in replacements and regulated-industry buyers.

Certificate of Conformance (CoC)

Written declaration that the products conform to specified requirements — signed and stamped by QC.

Packing List & Export Documentation

Commercial invoice, packing list and customs documentation are agreed for the product, order and destination.

Standards and Order Requirements

Certification Requirements

If your procurement process requires certification, tell us the required standard. Confirm document availability, issuer, validity and scope before ordering; no certificate is published on this page.

ASTM

ASTM F316

Where specified, Bubble Point procedures are applied to fully wetted filter cartridges or filter elements to characterize the largest connected pore. Porous plates and gas-distribution components use Bubble Distribution analysis to assess bubble uniformity across the effective surface. Results must be interpreted with the agreed sample, liquid, temperature, and method conditions.

RoHS

RoHS / REACH

Product-specific compliance documents are reviewed against the agreed order and intended application.

Export Compliance

Export documentation and destination-market requirements are confirmed for the agreed product and order.

Confirm Documentation Before Ordering

If your application requires test reports, material certificates, or custom inspection criteria — contact us before ordering and we'll confirm exactly what documentation we can provide.
