Titanium Perforated Sheet

Titanium sheet (Grade 1 or Grade 2, per ASTM B265) with punched, laser-cut, or etched hole patterns. Standard hole shapes include round, square, rectangular, slotted, triangular, hexagonal, fish-scale, and semicircular, arranged in straight rows or staggered at 60° or 45°; custom patterns to customer drawing are available.

Sheet thickness 0.04–8 mm; sheet width up to 1000 mm, cut to length up to 2000 mm before trimming to order. Minimum hole diameter 0.5 mm; open area 20–60% depending on hole size and pitch. Titanium perforated sheet is specified where the corrosion resistance of titanium is required but the flow resistance and cost of sintered porous material is not justified.

Principal use is in PEM electrolyzer and fuel cell cell frames, where the perforated sheet provides structural support and current distribution while allowing gas and liquid flow. Grade 1 (soft, formable) is preferred for applications requiring tight bending; Grade 2 (higher strength) for structural cell frame applications.

Titanium Corrosion Resistance

Grade 1/2 titanium is stable in seawater, dilute acids, chloride solutions, and oxidising media where SS would pit or corrode.

Custom Hole Patterns to Drawing

Round, square, rectangular, slotted, triangular, hexagonal, fish-scale, or semicircular holes in straight rows or staggered at 60°/45°, by CNC punch, laser, or etching — tolerances to ±0.1 mm on hole diameter.

PEM Cell Frame Applications
