Selection principle
Start with the housing, not the code
A connection name is a useful reference, but it does not prove interchangeability. The same-looking end can differ in shoulder position, insertion depth or seal geometry. Start with the relevant filter cartridge family, then confirm the housing interface.
Confirm every dimension
Verify diameters, insertion depth, clearances and cartridge overall length from an approved drawing or sample.
Verify the seal
Confirm O-ring location, seal material, groove geometry and compatibility with the process fluid and temperature.
Review the service
State flow direction, pressure, temperature, media, micron rating and acceptance requirements.
