The function determines which dimensions are critical. A screen may be driven by the required opening geometry; a support plate may be driven by load and stiffness; a flow-distribution part may be driven by open area and layout. It follows from hole geometry, pitch, pattern and sheet thickness. For that reason, an RFQ should state the target open area or the functional requirement behind it, instead of assuming that the same pattern will give the same result in every thickness.<\/p>\n Select Grade 1 or Grade 2 titanium<\/h2>\nFILTURE supplies titanium perforated sheet in Grade 1 or Grade 2 to ASTM B265. Grade 1 is the more formable option when the sheet will be bent or formed after perforation. The final choice should account for the process medium, operating temperature, mechanical load, welding requirements and the finished-part geometry.<\/p>\n Set the thickness before confirming the pattern<\/h2>\nThe available sheet-thickness range is 0.5-6 mm<\/strong>. The same hole pattern can behave very differently in a thin formed panel and a thicker structural plate. Confirm the load carried by the part, the unsupported span, whether it will be rolled or bent after perforation, and the maximum allowable deflection. Minimum hole diameter, pitch and achievable tolerance also need to be reviewed against the selected thickness and manufacturing method.<\/p>\n State whether the sheet is supplied flat or must be cut, rolled, formed, welded or assembled. Include any edge condition, deburring, pickling, surface-finish, flatness and inspection requirements. A clear drawing should identify critical dimensions and the hole pattern reference.
